If you need someone, I’m here….

I’m someone who can be by your side, I want you to know that you are not alone. You may feel alone — you may feel support from those around you, but not the true support that you need.

The support that comes from someone who has walked the path.

I may not not necessarily be that far ahead of you, could be just a few steps. Or I may be miles ahead. Maybe I’m near the end and you are at the beginning.

Where ever we are on the path, it is somewhere together.

Wondering what life has for you now that it’s changed… You’re in a mid life transition, been through a divorce, a widow, an empty nester, someone in a marriage or relationship that feels empty….

Questioning “What now”. Knowing that there’s more to your life but not sure of the steps. Taking a turn not sure where it is leading.

Fear creeps in — fear of the unknown. Your life had it’s share of good and bad times and now you wonder what times you will share — with yourself and with others.

Yet, you have a feeling, even if it’s buried deep down, that there is something more. And you are searching for what that something is. Stepping forward to not find yourself but create yourself.

Yes, create yourself! You’re not lost, you don’t need to be found. You are walking into the second half of your life. It looks different than what you expected, but you realize that you are walking into what can become the best half of your life.

The half that is creating what YOU want after years of giving to others. I’m not saying others still don’t need you, but not like it once was. You are no longer in the shadows, you are in the forefront.

And so am I. This is a journey we can take together.

I am someone who was a stay at home mom, married for 29 years, with an focus on philanthropy as I always had a strong desire to be of service. It was 7 years ago that I started back in the work force, again being of service to others, as a leader for a weight loss company.

I saw many incredible people who I had the honor and privilege to be of service to come into the meeting rooms wanting to lose weight. What I learned is that what they really needed (to do so) was to love themselves.

    Don’t we all….

I started to see that the meetings I led needed to be more about a holistic journey — a body, mind and soul approach, a journey of the inner self and of the mind.

It wasn’t about the program, they knew how to work it. What I did was to dig into why they weren’t working it. Or couldn’t keep working it.

I am someone who keeps abreast of the latest research, following both the functional medicine (integrative or holistic) along with the metaphysical.

I am no longer with that company, but am grateful for the 5 years I spent there. I’ve been told that I touched many lives during my time with those awesome members…

… and truth be told, they touched my life in ways they will never know.

For years now, I’ve had a vision to start my own company that would continue to be of service helping others. Help them tap into their inner power, to see the bigger picture in life.

To start taking care of ourselves — and the importance of doing so.

What better time to make that vision a reality than in 2020?! A point of NEW beginnings, with a clear view.

No longer should we look at 2020 in hindsight but instead in foresight. A time to create what we desire.

I am board certified as a Health & Wellness Coach through NBHWC and certified in functional medicine through FMCA. As you follow me, you will see that I think of myself as a messenger. I love to share what I am learning from all different sources, be it the functional medicine community or the spiritual one.

To me, this column is my “ If… Notes”.

If you had the time to read and listen to every book and webinar that was of interest to you. If you knew where to find the resources.

If you even knew there was something more….

If you want someone by your side to open your eyes and mind to NEW theories and ideas all based on scientific research. (actually much of what I share could be considered NEW age but is really been around ‘underground’ a long time).

Research done by many experts in their own fields, that are ultimately messengers as well. With the same message…spoken in their voice.

If you are reading this and it resonates with you, I hope you will comment below. Or reach out and join the community. Why not walk this NEW path with others that can be of support.

    What if…

Until next time — Embrace yourself!

    The Power of Gratitude

I used to live in a place of negativity, lack and fear. I turned my attitude around when I incorporated gratitude! Doesn’t mean I don’t visit those places at times, but I don’t make them my home.

How — you might ask? And why would being grateful make a difference?

To best explain, I came upon a quote from another mentor of mine, Neale Donald Walsch (Conversations with God series).

    Neale shares:

Gratitude is the miracle cure for every moment of dis-ease. It is the fastest way to dissolve anxiety, to heal disappointment, to replace negativity with positivity. It is the connecting energy to God.

There is so much to share on gratitude, this is just a little thought with a big impact that I wanted to share today.

As we move into a NEW year/decade, let’s incorporate moving into a NEW attitude, which is one of gratitude.

    Be Well,

  • Change

    Change

Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change…

We just moved into a NEW year, the beginnings of a NEW decade and it all starts with today. The year, 2020- a number many of us will associate with vision, what’s actually considered the perfect vision.

What is your vision — what do you see for yourself on this NEW day of this NEW year of this NEW decade? I follow many inspirational/motivational people that speak about how we are the creators of our lives.

What this means to me is that the way I look at things creates how I view my life, which produces how I chose to live my life.

Do you see the world as a positive place, or a negative place?

Do you see life happening for you or to you?

Do you ask why is this happening to me, or come from a place of what am I to learn from what is happening?

I used to come from the negative, the happening to me, the why me….I lived in a place of anxiety, lack, fear. I judged others, complained, was caught up in the drama of life. I would numb myself with food, with alcohol — I even numbed myself with Xanax.

I look now and think of how I wasn’t living my life, I was just existing… Can you relate? I know I’m not alone with this, but I ultimately felt very alone.

One day, and I can’t remember exactly how, I came upon Wayne Dyer. He is known as the Father of Motivation — and with great reason!

His quote was a game changer for me:

Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change….

Through his words, I started to open my mind. I started to take a NEW view on what was happening in my life. I started looking to find the peace, the abundance, the love.

I started to see that I had much to be grateful for.

Having 20/20 vision is perfect vision but only in a ophthalmologist or optometrist’s office. I’ve come to learn and discover that there is no perfection — we strive for it, and then we fail. We cannot attain perfection… so stop trying!

Instead I look to be a better version of myself — I encourage this of you as well.

It takes the pressure off, it takes the judgement out. It gives us a break. We stop beating ourselves up. It allows us to see ourselves for who we are and to recap scenarios of our lives and how we can change our reactions the next time. To be proactive and not reactive.

It allows us to accept ourselves.

    It makes us mindful.

It makes us responsible — which is our ability to respond to any situation.

It gives us the power to control ourselves, which is all that we can control.

Science has proven that our brains are not hard wired. We have the ability to train our brains, to think differently. It’s called neuroplasticity. And before I even heard that term, I saw that this was indeed possible.

    I am living proof.

As we enter this NEW year and NEW decade, I ask you to join me on making a NEW start. Let 2020 be a time to create a NEW vision for yourself and your life. I want you to see that it can begin with changing your view…

    Here’s to YOU in 2020!

    Be Well,

  • Hello! My name is Michele Thill.

Hello! My name is Michele Thill.

Hello! My name is Michele Thill.

Welcome to the NEWLAND WELLNESS community!

I hope to inspire you and that you will feel empowered through my insights and see there is a bigger picture to your life.

To me, creating this community is about desiring a NEW path.

And from a place of love — because love is what it’s all about.

Love in every form! Starting with self-love and the journey that you are now about to embark on! With me — and us!

On this journey, you will find that I will touch upon and get into many different aspects – health, nutrition, sleep, stress management and more . . .

….with a spiritual twist — bringing this into a full body, mind, and soul form of wholeness and wellbeing.

And a big part of this journey is now realizing that what is happening is ‘for’ you and not happening ‘to’ you.

This way you begin to view your struggles and problems in a fashion that will help you to move them into ‘challenges’ that can be faced and then ultimately ‘opportunities’ for you….. to grow. Focusing on the outcome and seeing your life in a NEW light.

This will allow you to overcome your obstacles and move forward into a life you were meant to live.

I have walked the path you are on, not the exact same one, but my own and some, if not many, of our experiences will be a shared one.

I desire for you to know that there is a bright future for you and it starts with what you do now. It’s opening up your mind for something more.

We live in a black and white world — and I was an active participant to that thought pattern!

Feels good for me to no longer live there.

Together, we will open our minds to NEW thoughts, ideas and concepts.

Now is the time to start moving into — and living in ‘color’ — it’s a beautiful place to be!!

So, are ya ready for a NEW way to BE?!

Since you are here — I’d say you gotta be :).
